Green Initiatives
Each year Mountain Jam offsets all carbon emissions via wind-power (with a help from Hudson Valley Clean Energy) along with utilizing the following to help green the scene.
- We’ll continue to offer FREE WATER inside the concert area to attendees w/ a refillable Mountain Jam water bottle (and $1 refills for all other water bottles) to help reduce waste
- We have an extensive recycling program with help from our friends at Clean Vibes
- All Mountain Jam Vendors are required to use disposable cups and plates with biodegradable, earth-friendly materials
- We use an e-ticketing system to help reduce the need for printing hard tickets
- Our festival guides are printed on recycled paper with soy-based ink
We need your help!
Please help keep our festival (and our planet) green by adhering to a few simple suggestions:
- CARPOOL! It’s more fun, less expensive, and cuts down on all of those unnecessary emissions.
- Pack light! You’re here for 3 days- not 3 months!
- Think reusable: Spoons, forks, knives, plates, cups-again it’s easier on your pocket AND on the environment!
- Styrofoam is NOT our friend! It never decomposes. Leave it at the store.
- Throw away your cigarette butts! They take TEN YEARS to decompose!
- Dispose of your garbage throughout the weekend! It makes the end cleanup much easier on you AND on us!
