Premium Pre-Pitched Tents
Dear Premium Pre-Pitched Tent Campers,
With Mountain Jam IX only a few days away, we wanted send you a warm welcome and some important information about your upcoming weekend with us!
When & Where to Enter
The festival opens at 9am on Thursday and Friday for Campers. The Box Office closes at 2am on both Thursday and Friday nights. If you arrive after 2am, you will have to wait outside of the venue until the following morning.
Premium Tent Campers should enter at the intersection of Klein Avenue and Route 23A (click here to see it on Google Maps and to get directions). When approaching from the east (driving west on Route 23A), DO NOT follow signs for “Car & Tent Camping Next Left” and DO NOT make a left on Route 214. If you do, you’ll be waiting on a really long line!
Instead, continue to the main Hunter Mountain Entrance and make a left onto Klein Avenue. Show your Premium Pre-Pitched Tent Pass and you will then be directed to a holding lot where your car and gear will be searched by Security.
Getting Your Tickets/Wristbands
Whether you already have your tickets or still need to pick them up, leave your car in the holding lot and walk over to the Tunnel Box Office on the first floor of the main Hunter Mountain Lodge. Everyone in your party must go to the Tunnel Box Office to receive their wristband! Be sure to bring a valid Photo ID! At this location you will exchange your tickets for wristbands or you can buy tickets if necessary.
Getting Your Premium Pre-Pitched Tent
Once you’ve cleared security and gotten your wristbands, you will be directed up to the Pre-Pitched Tent area to meet Chris McPhee (from Suburban Camping) who is in charge of the area and will assign you your tent!
You will need to provide a valid ID and credit card. A deposit will be held on your card until check-out. No charge will be made to your card if the tent and items included are returned in the same condition.
There is a Mountaintop Premium Parking Lot near (not directly next to) your Premium Tent. In this parking lot there will be room for ONE car for each of the Premium Tents. If you are traveling with additional vehicles, those will have to be parked in the off-site lots.
Please forward this email to everyone staying in your tent. If some people are arriving in a separate vehicle, they will be able to transport their gear from the parking lot to the tent in a golf cart taxi for $5 per seat.
About Your Premium Pre-Pitched Tent
The tents are called “bell tents” and are made of canvas with a heavy ground sheet. They have 4 mesh windows that can be opened and closed. The ground sheet attaches to the canvas top with zippers and and can be unzipped and rolled up on warm days. If you have questions on how to do this, let someone from Suburban Camping know! It is important that you zip all your windows as well as ground sheet and door closed during inclement weather. This will help ensure your stay is dry and comfortable.
